This amazing little red and gold Russian Santa Claus is wonderfully hand carved and hand painted by the artist. Santa's cloak is painted red with gold and white highlights - and Santa is holding a brightly lit lantern! SEE CLOSE UP PICTURES BELOW. This Santa is lightly lacquered so it is easily cleaned and protected. The solid linden wood is dried for almost 2 years before it is carved so it will last a lifetime. Linden wood was once used to make drafting boards because it is so stable once it is properly dried. It does not warp, change shape, or crack and this artistic piece will bring enjoyment for a lifetime! (Note: These are not molded or mass produced as are some molded resin Santas from China. All our Russian Santas are hand carved from Linden Wood and no two are ever identical!)
