This beautiful Russian Santa Claus is perched on his sleigh getting ready to make his deliveries!  This Santa is hand carved and hand painted by the artist to enhance details in the face, beard and costume - notice the lovely pattern on Santa's cloak and the patchwork on his pack!  Santa has a kind and serious look on his face - ready to get down to business and deliver all those gifts!  This statue is lacquered so it is easily cleaned and protected. The solid linden wood is dried for almost 2 years before it is carved so it will last a lifetime. Linden wood was once used to make drafting boards because it is so stable once properly dried.
