This fun little Russian Santa Claus is hand carved and hand painted by the artist creating this statuette of Santa Claus (or Grandfather Frost, as he is called in Russia) riding a train across the vast Siberian tundra - Picture Dr. Zhivago! Santa is a wearing a bright red suit with turquoise and gold design on the back. The train or locomotive is painted black with a white and gold decorative pattern on it and the wheels. This Santa is lightly lacquered so it is easily cleaned and protected. The solid linden wood is dried for almost 2 years before it is carved. (Note: These are not mass produced molded resin from China. All Russian Santas are one of a kind, unique, and hand carved from Linden Wood so no two Santas are ever identical.) This statuette is made in Sergei Posad, Russia and measures just over 6 inches tall by just under 6 inches long by just over 2.5 inches wide.
