This fun little Russian Santa Claus is hand carved and hand painted by the artist creating this statuette of Santa riding a train - COULD SANTA BE RIDING THE TRANS-SIBERIAN RAILWAY? Santa is a wearing a bright red suit with a turquoise and gold design on the back. The locomotive is painted black with a white and gold decorative pattern on it and the wheels. This Santa is lightly lacquered so it is easily cleaned and protected. The solid linden wood is dried for almost 2 years before it is carved. (Note: These are not mass produced molded resin from China. All Russian Santas are one of a kind, unique, and hand carved from Linden Wood so no two Santas are ever identical.) This Grandfather Frost, as he is called in Russia, is made in Sergei Posad, Russia and measures approximately 6 inches tall by just under 6 inches long by approximately 2.75 inches wide.
