This lovely purple and gold hand painted 5 piece Russian matryoshka nesting doll set (stacking doll) is etched and painted creating a floral pattern painted on each doll. The faces and costumes of this set are fantastic (see close up pictures below) and each doll is accented in white, green, and gold paint. This nesting set is made in Sergei Posad, Russia and is crafted from Linden wood. This nesting set is signed by the artist and the largest doll measures just under 7 inches tall while the smallest is just over 1.75 inches tall.
